Who should use RFree?
RFree is being developed for use by community groups preparing to apply for low power FM radio licenses. RFree is intended to compliment other resources such as the RadioSpark forum, the Prometheus Radio Project website, and Prometheus Radio Project webinars. While RFree will help applicants prepare the engineering portion of the FCC application, the other resources will help groups with fundraising, organizing, and completing the non-engineering portion of the application.
Engineers who are supporting community radio applicants are also welcome to use RFree. Future releases of RFree will include advanced features for engineers such as the ability to predict relative signal strengths of multiple stations at a given location. However, this manual covers only the basic features of RFree.
